Pre event forms, fitness declaration,

photographs and video/audio images

All fully paid bookings entitle you to the swim session/s described on the time/dates specified, supported by In The Wet Stuff coaches.

You will be required to complete a Health declaration (PAR Q) and indemnity form prior to your swim.

Arrival for any swim is a declaration that you are fit and well with no injuries or illness.

​

During any swim or swim session ITWS and or any contractor or other person so authorised may take photographic or video/audio footage for commercial and exclusive use of ITWS. These images may produce addition commercial products for ITWS in any format. By participating in the swim or session you grant exclusive rights, without any compensation, to any and all captured images or audio in which you may be recognisable to ITWS any successors or licensees and release them from any liability in perpetuity.

 Start Times, Cancelled Sessions and Relocation 

Open water swimming and the weather/sea state is by its nature unpredictable and your flexibility is required.

If any sessions are cancelled due to safety concerns or matters beyond our control we reserve the right to add these at the scheduled end of any course or refund on a full (single swim) or pro rata basis.

In the Wet Stuff reserve the right to relocate the session/swim to a suitable place due to sea state or other safety consideration. This will be within 10 miles of the original. You are responsible for making your way to the revised location at your cost. Changes can be late notice on the day of the session.

No refunds for missed sessions. You need to ensure you allow enough time to arrive, park and walk to the notified start/briefing point. Access to the swim starts can include coastal paths steep steps/slipways and beaches. If you have any doubts about your ability to access swim starts please contact In The Wet Stuff prior to booking.

Swim Ability

Minimum swim ability:  

You need to be confident you are able to swim a minimum of 200m front crawl non stop or the described swim length in the booking process (single swims/sessions). If in any doubt please contact us first.

If at any time In The Wet Stuff staff/coaches/

lifeguards feel you are incapable of continuing the session or are becoming unsafe to others or yourself you will be required to leave the water. No refunds will be given in this instance regardless of when this decision is made. If you refuse to leave the water when requested you are placing yourself in a position where your continued swimming is on the basis of a member of the public expressing their free will and accept that In The Wet Stuff are no longer responsible for your safety in any way. In The Wet Stuff will facilitate any exit safely. Wetsuits are mandatory unless you can prove to the satisfaction of In The Wet Stuff (before the day of the session) that you are experienced swimming in cold water without one.

All swimmers to be over 18 years.

Refund and Cancellation

Bookings are non refundable and non transferable. This includes any and all actions from Government or any other body to limit travel or any other action that prevents you from completing or arriving for the swim.

In The Wet Stuff and its suppliers are not liable for any expenses including but not limited to travel, accommodation or refreshment, incurred due to the late cancellation or re scheduling of any swim session.  We recommend you obtain appropriate travel/activity insurance.

All swim sessions are subject to a minimum number cancellation policy, In The Wet Stuff can cancel a programme before the first session at short notice if insufficient numbers book to make the programme viable.

Unlike some providers we will always refund in full without any admin fee if we cancel the agreed swim and or any fall back provision mentioned elsewhere.
